Could life get any better? blood.lith.com has reached over 1,000,000 (One Million!) page visitors since it's release in late 1996. The Monolith WebDoodz couldn't be happier - it is a good feeling to know that so many people have viewed and re-viewed this site looking for information and files on and about Blood.

Backtracking to around November 1996, we can take a look at the Blood Website from the very beginning... Back then, us WebDoodz only numbered 2 - and we basically lived at Monolith From the hours of 2:00 pm to 6:00 am. Kevin Kilstom, the mastermind behind all the art in Blood, provided the Doodz with some kick ass graphics and designs for the initial site. When we finally put everything together, we were elated - the site was &^*&ing awesome as far as we were concerned.

After a while, we realized that the site was too image intensive, and we soon felt that it needed a change from "suck" to "elite" (although it meant removing the beautiful graphics Kevin did, unfortunately)

Change it we did, and after we were done creating the new 'improved' Blood Site, our skills showed they had markedly improved. Adam had just been hired at Monolith as a Web Artist and was immediately incarcerated into the team and improved the site with a new (incredible) main graphic, general graphic cohesion, and a bunch of bloody changes to the site. Late nights were spent once again on Revision #2 of the Blood site, and it was released to the world with great proudness!

Much like the first version of the Blood Site, we started noticing serious flaws in the design, and the page became incredibly cluttered with small graphics and text that was jumbled up as the page grew in size.

Yes, another re-design was necessary. Adam re-did all the graphics to get the site to the beautiful form it is in now, and we have been very pleased with the look and feel of the site as it stands.

Anyway - a couple days ago, a mail came with the subject "1,000,000". A fellow Blood player named Jalapeno dropped us a line to let us know that the Blood Website had reached 1,000,000 visitors! We were so happy, we had to do a nostalgic review of the Blood Website, and its phases. Now the WebDoodz are 4 people, and we will always try our best to make the most kick ass sites on the web!
